Although Southwest Airlines (SWA) is the largest U.S. Airline in the U.S. they are still commonly
viewed as a "coach class" airline. I took on the great task of refreshing and rebranding the 40+
year old airline. When developing the logo I realized I had to make sure the mark still appealed to
SWA's current clientele, while grabbing the attention of prospective passengers. While researching
the airlines competition I realized that a new tag-line and campaign was essential in making the
re-brand effective. The end result was a set of branding & campaign guidelines that accompany
a fully functional interactive customer driven campaign & twitter application.
